Langjokull Tour Reviews

What travellers wrote after their own day on the ice, in their own words, alongside every operator's published rating. Across the listings gathered here the platforms count 3,361 reviews between them. What each fare covers sits with the Langjokull Tours listings.

Traveller reviews from the tours listed here

These are travellers' own accounts of the day they booked. The mixed ones stay in: a three-star that breaks four hours down into fifty minutes of driving, ten of kit and one of riding tells you more about a snowmobile day than a page of praise, and it is the reason the praise is worth reading.

What travellers keep saying

Most of the day is the transfer

It comes up on every tour here. The glacier hour is an hour; the road to it is one to two more each way, and it is rough at the top. Reviewers who knew that in advance describe it as part of the adventure. The ones who did not describe it as a surprise.

Nobody is cold

Reviewer after reviewer makes the same point for anyone packing: you do not need to bring cold-weather gear, because the operators cover you head to toe at base camp. What people do wish they had brought is better footwear.

The single-rider rule catches people

Two travellers booked for two, assumed two machines, and paid the supplement at the counter. The rule is the same almost everywhere here: the price is per person and two share a snowmobile, with an upgrade payable on site if any are free.

The weather is a real variable

Low cloud means a whiteout with nothing to see; heavy snow means the ride can be dropped after departure. Travellers who were caught by it describe guides who rearranged the day and refunded the part that did not happen.

Operator ratings, as each platform publishes them

The figures below belong to the operators and to the booking platforms that collect them, not to us. They are reproduced here as plain text so you can see the spread before you choose, including the listings whose ratings rest on very few reviews.
