How Langjokull Tours is paid for, in plain terms, and what that does and does not change about what appears on these pages.

We earn a commission on bookings

Langjokull Tours lists tours sold by Viator and by GetYourGuide. When you follow a link from these pages and book, we earn a commission from that platform, at no extra cost to you. You pay the same price you would pay going to the platform directly.

What we are not

We are not a tour operator, not a travel agent and not the company that runs the ice tunnel inside Langjökull. We do not take bookings, hold payments, issue tickets or run vehicles. Your contract is with the operator you book with, and the terms on your confirmation are the terms that apply.

Operators cannot buy a place here

No operator pays to appear on these pages, to appear higher up them, or to be given a badge. The order tours appear in, the top three that get their own pages, and the badges on the cards are all set from published rating, review volume and price, and a badge that cannot be checked against those figures is not used.

Where the figures come from

Prices, ratings, review counts, inclusions and cancellation terms are the operators' own, captured from their live listings on 9 September 2026 and refreshed periodically. They move. The figure you see at the moment of booking is the one that counts, and it is always shown to you before you pay.

Facts about the glacier

Everything on these pages about Langjökull itself — its size, its retreat, the tunnel, the roads and their seasons — is taken from the Icelandic Institute of Natural History, the Icelandic Meteorological Office, the Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration, the University of Iceland and the operators' own published pages, and is sourced on the page where it appears. Where a figure could not be confirmed, it is not published.
